Question of the Day: |
What are Kirchhoff's Laws, and how do you apply them? (Write yourself a cookbook, with details, for solving for unknown I and V in circuits using KCL and KVL). |
Self-Assessment: ECE1250_Assess2_2.pdf Download ECE1250_Assess2_2.pdf |
Introduction: Kirchoff's Laws are the first of several methods we will use to solve circuit problems. We will also use this method to DERIVE several other methods. The two basic concepts of Kirchoff's Laws are key concepts in electrical engineering -- (1) The sum of voltages in a closed loop is zero and (2) The sum of currents coming into a node = sum of currents going out.
