Pre-Lab:

  • Download the WaveForms software and install it on your personal computer/laptop (link Links to an external site.). Note that you will have to fill out a form with your name and email.
  • Watch the tutorial videos in the Resources section below.
    • Learn how to use the Analogy Discovery 2 as a +5V power supply.
    • Learn how LEDs work.

In this Lab, you will:

  • Learn to use the +5V supply on the Analogy Discovery 2.
  • Build and manipulate a simple voltage divider.
  • Build a simple LED circuit.
  • Measure current with the ammeter.

Materials Needed: (you should have acquired these in Lab 0)

  • Digital multimeter
  • ECE 1245 Parts Kit plus breadboard
  • Analogy Discovery 2
  • WaveForms software installation
