Lecture (L7-9) Phasor Domain Analysis Techniques
- Due Nov 29, 2022 by 11am
- Points None
All of your favorite circuit analysis techniques (node voltage, KVL/KCL,etc.) work with impedances too! ALL methods you learned previously for analyzing resistive (R) circuits apply the SAME way to RLC circuits using impedance (Z) instead of resistance (R). Impedance: ZR = R ; ZC = 1/(jωC); ZL = jωL ; ω = 2piF; j = sqrt(-1)
Questions of the Day (Learning Objectives)
- How do you analyze circuits in the phasor domain? ... For circuits with any combination of AC (sine wave) voltage and current sources, resistors, and capacitors, how do you find the voltages and currents using KVL/KCL or node voltage?
