Read about the Resistor Color Code and standard resistor values.  Decide which mnemonic you want to memorize to help you remember the color code.

c. Print out a Resistor Color Code or get the cell phone app so will have it handy throughout your labs in ECE.

 Practical information about resistors.  This is information you will need in Lab 1.

 1kohm = Brown(1)-Black(0)-Red(x10^2)-Gold(5%)

2.4kohm = Red(2)-yellow(4)-Red(x10^2)-Gold(5%)

4.3Mohm = Yellow(4)-Orange(3)-Green(x10^5)-Gold(5%)
