Professional Development Efforts

  • In the area of librarianship/teaching I have been working on connecting information literacy to other literacies. I think as librarians we should be focusing on a more holistic approach to teaching research skills. During COVID, I have been taking advantage of feee or low cost online conference fees to learn more about what is happening in online teaching and learning, qualitative methods and how to conduct research remotely, strategies for presenting my librarian autoethnography vignettes. The intersection of teaching library research, teaching and crossing the boundary of F2F and online, and learning new strategies for remote research will help me move forward with my boundary crossing research agenda.
