We will be making our own playdough and discussing how It Is able to form. What Is the secret Ingredient?

Supplies:

  • Two bowls 
  • A spoon 
  • 2 tablespoons of alum 
  • 2 cups of flour 
  • 1 cup of salt 
  • 1 cup of water 
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • Food coloring

  1. In one bowl, combine your alum, flour, and salt
  2. In another bowl, combine your water, oil, and food coloring
  3. While stirring, pour your wet ingredients into your dry ingredients
  4. Once the dough becomes lumpy and all the wet ingredients are incorporated, knead with your hands
  5. Enjoy your playdough!
  6. Playdough will stay for about 2 weeks in an airtight container. Add a few drops of warm water and knead when it gets too hard.
