Instructions

In this activity you’ll use ordinary household items to make a cool parachute. There are endless imaginative possibilities with this activity!

Supplies:

  •  Any plastic shopping bag
  • 16 feet of ribbon or cord
  • Scissors
  • Action figure, lego person or animal
  • Tape Measure (Optional)

Written Instructions (Printable PDF) 

  1. Cut a square out of a plastic bag.
  2. Fold it in half 4 times.
  3. Cut the end unto a even edge.
  4. Cut a slit into the side.
  5. Unfold them.
  6. Cut your yarn into 2 feet pieces.
  7. Tie the pieces into holes on the plastic.
  8. Tie all the strings into a knot at the bottom.
  9. Tie your action figure to the string.
  10. Throw it around!
