Instructions

Using only one ingredient, you can put a fun twist on typical hard candy!

Supplies:

  • Jolly Ranchers (around 7 pieces of each flavor)
  • Aluminum foil
  • Cooking spray
  • Spoon
  • Cookie sheet
  • 5 Ziplock bags
  • Rolling pin

Written Instructions (Printable PDF)

  1. Preheat your oven to 300 degrees.
  2. Unwrap your jolly ranchers and put them into Ziplock bags. Be sure to separate them by flavor.
  3. Using a rolling pin, smash the candies into small pieces.
  4. Take a piece of tinfoil and use your finger to punch a hole in the middle.
  5. Squish the sides of the middle hole and around the sides to create a barrier so your candies do not drip too much onto your cookie sheet.
  6. Spray your molds and cookie sheet with cooking spray.
  7. Using your spoon, arrange the candies by various colors and patterns inside the mold. 
  8. Put the molds on your cookie sheet and put in the oven for 3-5 minutes.
  9. Take the candies out and let them set for around 2 minutes.
  10. Carefully remove the tinfoil from the candies.
  11. Observe how beautiful they look against light and enjoy!
