Supplies:

  • Paper towels 
  • Cup of water
  • Paintbrushes
  • Watercolor or acrylic paint
  • Painter's tape
  • Canvas or cardstock

Written Instructions (Printable PDF)

  1. Gather Supplies.
  2. Tape your art piece into the designs you want, making sure to run your fingers over the tape to prevent the paint from bleeding through the paper.
  3. Paint the shapes remaining with whatever color pattern you would like.
  4. You can also paint the canvas beforehand if you would like to have a color besides white underneath the tape.
  5. Wait for it to dry then remove the tape to unveil your masterpiece!
  6. Give it as a present or hang it up to admire.
  7. You can do this activity on other things like a back of a clipboard or to make thank you cards! Lots of possibilities!
