Instructions

Make your very own wind chime out of sticks and string!

Parental Warnings: Scissor use and breaking sticks 

Supplies:

  • Ribbon or String
  • Scissors
  • 5 Sticks (about 6 Inches long) o
    • 4 Medium Thickness o
    • 1 Large Thickness

Written Instructions (Printable PDF)

  1. Gather the sticks and materials
  2. Cut and double tie two strings to the largest stick for the base
  3. Cut four more strings for the rest of the sticks
  4. Double tie the rest of the sticks to the base making sure to tie inside the two initial strings
  5. If you need to secure the sticks better, you can hot glue gun them or use eyelet screws at the top
  6. Adjust the length as you tie to make sure they are about the same length
  7. Cut the excess ends off the strings
  8. Hang somewhere and wait for the wind (:
  9. You can also paint or draw on the sticks if you want to lengthen the activity
