Lecture (L4-7) Voltage Follower

  • Due Oct 26, 2018 by 11:59pm
  • Points None
Question of the Day:

What is the input and output resistance of a circuit?

What is a voltage follower?  Why is it also called a buffer?

When and why do you need to use a buffer?

Self-Assessment: ECE1250_Assess4_7.pdf Download ECE1250_Assess4_7.pdf

Introduction: When combining op-amp (or other) circuits in series, the ideal 'standard' models we have developed in previous lectures work only if the output resistance of the first circuit is small compared with the input resistance of the circuit it is connected to.  If it isn't, then we can use a buffer to make it that way.
