Welcome to Electrical and Computer Engineering! and Welcome to ECE 1250. I'm glad to have you in my class. I'm excited about electrical engineering. It's been a fun and fascinating career for me, and I hope it will be for you too.

Today:

Find the class (WEB 2230)! Drive/Bike/Walk/Trax, Park, find WEB Links to an external site. & MEB Links to an external site., find food, find a study spot.

Find Dr. Cotter's Office (MEB 3255). Visit and get a cookie!

Become familiar with what we will be doing in this course Links to an external site., and find at least one thing that interests you about electrical and computer engineering Links to an external site.. (And let's hope there will be more than ONE by the time we get to the end of the course!).
Read the syllabus.
Schedule at least an hour before each class to watch the video lecture and an hour after class to do the homework. Schedule a bit of extra time each week to study, preferably with a study group. Put these things on your calendar, for each course you are taking. Include time for getting to and from campus, work, and PLAY TIME. Be sure your schedule fits everything you need and want to do.

Put the important dates in your calendar. Things like exams, finals, holidays, and spring break. You may also want to include add and drop dates.

Buy your books.
Find something that particularly interests you about electrical and computer engineering:
