Pick a recent news article (past 12 months) that explicitly talks about artificial intelligence / AI.
Read the article and turn in a short (approximately 1 page) report assessing the following:
- How does the article define AI / does it give a definition at all? If not, what is the implicit / implied definition?
- What research is being reported on and how can it be related to material covered this semester in class?
- Does the article express any fears / philosophical issues relating to AI? Are these concerns valid based on the research described?
- Do you agree with the articles view of the work? Explain why or why not.
We will discuss these articles in class, so you must turn them in the night before to give me time to read over them and prepare.
