Learning About the Library by Asking Questions
One important way you can learn about the library is to ask questions. Below you will see 3 links that will take to you pages that contain answers to commonly asked student questions:
If you already know your question and you just want the answer we have several services in the library to help you get the information you need.
1. Not in the library?
- Use the Ask The Library, Links to an external site. and Email Service on the library homepage Links to an external site. to get a quick answer to questions, or to find a librarian to help you with your research, and directions on how to use library services. Click on the green online button or email link
- Contact the Knowledge Commons Desk Links to an external site. for general research and technical library questions or to find out what software is installed in the library Links to an external site.
2. When we can back into the library and when you need help? You can ask questions at:
- The Security & Information Desks Links to an external site. at either entrance to the library (floors 1 and 3) - and they can get you to the library staff that can answer you specific question or help you find a lost item.
- The Knowledge Commons (KC) Desk Links to an external site. is on level 2 of the library and is manned by librarians and technical support to help you with research questions as well as with technical problems. At the KC desk you can also check out Links to an external site.equipment such as computer cables, phone and laptop chargers, laptops and tablets. The KC folks can connect you to a disciplinary librarian for a research consultation.
