Welcome to Electrical and Computer Engineering! and Welcome to ECE 1250. I'm glad to have you in my class. I'm excited about electrical engineering. It's been a fun and fascinating career for me, and I hope it will be for you too.

Today:

Find the class (WEB L110, in the underground part of WEB, accessed by stairway on west side of upper WEB)! Drive/Bike/Walk/Trax, Park, find WEB & MEB, find food, find a study spot.
Become familiar with what we will be doing in this course Links to an external site., and find at least one thing that interests you about electrical and computer engineering Links to an external site.. (And let's hope there will be more than ONE by the time we get to the end of the course!). Read the syllabus.
What is Electrical Engineering? 'Anything you can do to a voltage.' (Ok, or a current!)
Read about the circuits used in a cell phone (Ulaby Text Section 1.0).
At your leisure, check out the resources for the course and the ECE website Links to an external site., buy your books and lab materials.
As we get going, get to know your professor Links to an external site., your classmates, and help me start to get to know you. Find a study group.
