Week 2 Overview

WEEK 2: Jan 13 - 19

 Overview

This week we will complete Chapter 1 and then begin focusing on the motions of the Earth and the Moon in Chapter 2.

By the end of this week, you should:

• be able to describe how Earth's rotation affects how we perceive motions in the sky.
• be able to visualize how Earth's motion around the Sun determine which stars we see.
• be able to explain how Earth's tilt on its axis determines how seasons are experienced.

Make sure that you complete the following:

• Attend lectures on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:10am (JFB 101).
• Complete reading and reading quizzes before lectures (listed in Activities below).
• Complete the homework assignment (listed in Activities below).
