Module 1: Overview & Instructions
To-Do Date: Aug 20 at 11:59pmOverview
Module 1 will introduce you to the basics of voltage, current, and resistance as we use them in electrical and computer engineering. We'll start building your toolbox for analyzing circuits with three very important tools --
- Kirchoff's Laws (helps us determine currents and voltages within a circuit)
- Ohm's Law (tells us how voltage, current and resistance work together in simple circuits)
- Voltage and current dividers (powerful tools for both analysis and design of circuits).
GETTING STARTED
- Watch the Pre-Class Lecture Videos for each day, take notes to answer the Question of the Day, and bring those notes to class with you. Add to these notes as you find details you might have missed. You can use these notes as you do the exam, so think of them as a mini-textbook written your way.
- Homework is assigned Daily, and reinforces the concepts for that day. We will get most of it started in class.
- Keep up with the lecture videos and homeworks, so you are ready for the exam at the end of the module.
