Let's try it part 2

CTE - AI Starting with AI

Let's try it part 2

In this section, we'll explore using LLMs (Large Language Models) to ask it questions specific to your own area of expertise. By engaging with these models, you'll see firsthand how their ability to process vast amounts of information and patterns can aid in problem-solving, idea generation, advancing our understanding within your field, as well as where it's downfalls and short comings are.

Your turn (part 2)

Chat GPT

Let's start with Chat GPT Links to an external site.. Start by asking it some simple questions related to your field.

For instance, if language learning were your field of expertise, you may want to ask questions such as: What are some of the best theories about second language acquisition?

Then try asking it to write you an essay about a topic in your field of expertise. For instance if my field of expertise was language learning, I might write this prompt: Write an essay outlining the history of the theories of second language acquisition.

See what it writes for you. Then you may want to change your prompt to be more specific: Write an essay outlining the history of the theories of second language acquisition. Include the pros and cons about each theory and what the field currently says is the best theory.

And now see how the response is different from the first prompt. Here are some other questions you may want to consider:

How accurate is the content that it's writing?

What is the style like?

Is it using repetitive language?

Is it creating hallucinations?

Now, complete the same tasks as above, but using Bard Links to an external site.

And consider these questions:

How are the responses compared to Chat GPT?

Is it creating hallucinations?

How accurate is the content it is producing?
