Assignment 8C: Hartley Oscillator Design
Instructions
(Links to an external site.)Repeat the example we did in class to create a Hartley Oscillator instead of a Colpitts oscillator. Experiment with adjusting your bias network and the values of L and C to get the best possible oscillator. What frequency does this oscillate at, and is that what you expected? How clean is the sine wave? What is the magnitude of the output, and what happens as you increase the gain? Explain your design process and what you observe.
