The cognitive literature tells us that integrating visuals and multimedia with text can impact our emotions and motivation, as well as improve our retention of information. In addition, newly emerging technologies, tools, and visual resources makes it easier to find, use, and create visuals. So, what are we waiting for? This session will provide strategies, tools, and guidelines for the “why” and “how” of incorporating visuals and visualization tools into your teaching for engaging 21st century learners.
