The project included 4 stages:
- Anecdotal Problem Identification
- Pilot study (n=55) in 3 sections of the same course
- Testing of findings across a variety of courses (n=834)
- Quantitative t-Test analysis (61 pre-post pairs across 3 librarian-embedded courses)

Take-Aways
-
Students are least comfortable with finding books in the stacks and using the library catalog
- Designed an online flipped lesson where students find a book in the catalog and then go out into the stacks to find books
- In the stage 4 statistical analysis, using web resources (like google and websites, was the only question that did not see a significant difference in the pre- and post mean score in one of the sections)
