Welcome Guests

This is the Century of Biology

The annual Science Retreat at the University of Utah brings together the SBS community to celebrate the breadth and depth of the research being done at the School of Biological Sciences. It's been said that the 21st Century is The Century of Biology Links to an external site.. SBS is the living embodiment of that sentiment.

The Retreat is also an opportunity for biologists at the U to welcome the newest cohort of SBS graduate students.

In advance of the Retreat, SBS invites you to sample the research posters of selected graduate students and post-docs. Watch their presentation video, learn about their background, and ask questions directly of each researcher.

We want to hear from you!

The Poster submissions below are a competition. Prizes will be awarded in different categories. Winners will be announced following the virtual Retreat event scheduled for August 20, 2020.

Check back often to have your questions answered and to find out the prize-winners!

Participation in the Retreat is by invitation, and is open to SBS faculty, graduate students, post docs and staff as well as selected alumni.

If you are an alumni of SBS and/or donor to SBS and would like to attend, please contact us in advance of the Aug. 20th online event at

development@biology.utah.edu
