Module 1 Overview: Introduction to Hyflex Flipping the Classroom
Module 1 | Module 2 | Module 3
Module 1A: Introduction to HyFlex Flipping | Module 1B: Reflection on Flipping | Module 1C: Structure your Flip
Module 1 Description: Module 1 will introduce you to the concept of a hyrid flexible flipped a classroom and get you thinking about how this pedagogical approach might fit into your own teaching and classroom context. This module is divided into 3 parts, 1A, 1B, and 1C. At the end of Module 1 you will have a plan for a hyflex flipped lesson, lecture or course design (depending on your own needs) and be ready to move onto Modules 2 and 3 where you will start working on the online videos and the in-class or online active learning hyflex flipped components.
Module 1 Objectives: By the end of this module, you will have:
- Reviewed the literature and resources available on the hyrid flexible (hyflex) flipped classroom
- Brainstormed ideas for a hyflex flipped learning design
- Developed a structure for your own hyflex flipped instruction
New to Flipping? Start with Module 1A. Here you can search the flipping literature, see how others are flipping their courses, and gather resources that you might be able to use in your own course design. The read how it's being used in a Hybrid Flexible (hflex) model. |

Thinking About Starting to Hyflex Flip? Start with Module 1B that will guide you through some reflection and brainstorming about a flipped lesson or course design as you analyze situational factors, design outcomes, and plan how you will structure your flipped instruction. Then think about the technology to enable a hybrid flexible approach. |
