The purpose of this online training course is to provide an opportunity for you to design and teach your Research Education course(s) in alternative formats beyond the face-to-face (F2F) classroom. We will discuss teaching beyond the 2-hour powerpoint presentation so that you can build in application of learning and flexibility for your course participants.
The flipped format of this training course will provide an opportunity for you to be in a flipped course and see it from the perspective of a student, as you think about how you will teach a flipped class to you Research Education participants.
Modules:
Module 1: Pre-Face-to-Face (F2F) Online Work: to be done before you attend the F2F zoom session

Module 2: The Face-to-Face Zoom Session (2 hours)

Dates for the live (real-time) meeting in zoom after completing Module1:
- Thursday, June 4th from 2pm – 4pm
- Thursday, June 11th from 9am – 11am
- Tuesday, June 16th from 2pm – 4pm
Module 3: Post-Class Online Work (complete this module by June 30th)
Each of the 3 modules will focus on a different aspect of the course design process. Within each module you will work through a 3 step-by-step process with provided resources and complete an assignment in step-3 for each module.
