Supplies:

  • Multiple colors of yarn
  • Construction or card stock paper
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Pencil

  1. Sketch out what you want your picture to look like. It doesn’t need to be perfect because you’ll be covering it up with yarn!
  2. Outline your picture with yarn. You will do this by measuring pictures on your sketch and cutting yarn to match those measurements.
  3. Glue yarn to sketch. Put a line of glue on your picture and place yarn on top.
  4. Once your entire sketch is outlined with yarn, fill in each picture with yarn. You can do this by cutting yarn and placing in outlined pictures. You can make straight lines, add swirls and change directions of the yarn to give it texture.
