This activity will show you how to marble paper so you can create unique cards, invitations, or whatever other creative ideas that come to mind!

Length of Activity: 10 Minutes

Supplies:

  • Shaving cream
  • Food coloring (as many colors as you want)
  • White paper
  • A tray (large enough for paper to fit into)
  • Skewer
  • Card (expired credit card or empty gift card)

Written Instructions (Printable PDF)

  1. Fill the bottom of your tray with shaving cream. You do not need a lot, just enough to cover the bottom.
  2. Drop in your food coloring.
  3. Use your skewer to swirl around your food coloring.
  4. Press paper into food coloring (if you are making cards, fold paper first).
  5. Use card to scrape the excess shaving cream off of your paper.
  6. Allow paper to dry a bit and proceed to draw.
