In this activity, you will be able to customize your own unique art explosion book!

Parental Warnings: Scissor use

Supplies:

  • Printer paper
  • Construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Marker/crayons/etc.
  • Any other decoration you want to use (i.e. glitter)

Written Instructions (Printable PDF)

  1. Fold one corner of your printer paper to the other side of the paper.
  2. Cut off excess paper.
  3. Fold in the shape of a triangle.
  4. Unfold the triangle and fold in half.
  5. The creases on your paper should create a line with an x through it.
  6. Open up your paper.
  7. On two of the opposite sides, there is a triangle with a line through it.
  8. Fold the triangle inward on both sides.
  9. You will have another triangle once again.
  10. Fold the corners of the triangle toward the faint line in the middle.
  11. Fold those triangles inward as well.
  12. Color and decorate the inside of your book.
  13. Fold your construction paper like a book.
  14. Place your printer paper inside with the arrow end pointing to the line down your construction paper.
  15. Cut the excess of your construction paper so it is only a bit larger than the folded printer paper.
  16. Glue each side of the book to the printer paper.
  17. Decorate the outside of the book.
