Written Instructions (Printable PDF)
- Pick an assortment of flowers (you could also use flowers from a storebought bouquet). Flowers with fewer petals will press the best.
- Place the blossoms on one half of a paper towel sheet. Fold the other half of the paper towel over the flowers. Place the folded paper towel in between several pages of newspaper (this will prevent the moisture from the flowers from seeping into the book that we will use for pressing).
- Place the flowers and newspaper in between the pages of a heavy book such as a phone book or a dictionary. Set more books on top to add weight.
- After a day place the flowers in fresh paper towels and newspaper and put them back in the book. Repeat once a day until the flowers are dry and flat.
- Once the flowers are dried and pressed you can use them to decorate cards, make bookmarks, and make collages!
