DIY flower seed bombs that are great gifts for your friends and the Earth!

Parental Warnings: Blender/Coffee grinder use

Supplies:

  • Flower seeds
  • Silicone molds
  • Colorful construction paper
  • Water
  • Bowls
  • Blender

Written Instructions (Printable PDF)

  1. Tear paper into small piece and place in bowls.
  2. Cover torn paper with water and let sit 15-20 minutes.
  3. Squeeze out as much water as possible from the paper and add paper to blender one color at a time and blend. Note: If using a blender, do not squeeze water out of paper before blending. Blend with water and then squeeze as much water as you can out of blended paper.
  4. Fill your molds! Place a small amount of paper in the bottom of a mold. Put a generous amount of seeds on top of paper and top with more paper. Be sure to press firmly so paper and seeds are tightly packed in the mold.
  5. Let flower seed bombs dry for 2-3 days.
  6. CAREFULLY take them out of your molds and plant!
