Written Instructions (Printable PDF)
- Mix one packet of gelatin with boiling water until fully dissolved.
- Mix bird seed with gelatin mixture.
- Cut straws into pieces long enough to stick out the top of the cookie cutters.
- Spray the inside of the cookie cutter with greasing spray and place on parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Fill mold with bird seed/gelatin mixture and make sure to press firmly to tightly pack the bird seed in the cookie cutter.
- Put the straw near the top of the cookie cutter leaving enough room at the top of the mold that the yarn wont tear through the bird feeder when tied.
- Place bird feeders in the fridge for a minimum of two hours to set.
- Carefully remove bird feeders from cookie cutters and remove straws. Put a piece of yarn or ribbon through the hole and tie a solid knot at the top.
- Hang in your yard for all the birds to enjoy!
