Look at the “About” section on the source - does it say it’s satire? Or for entertainment only? Is it funded by people who are invested in it?
Look around at other articles they publish - do they seem outrageous or too good to be true?
- Clickbait or outrageous headlines are a clue
- Sometimes headlines/titles will make a claim that seems biased, but it's just concise, like "Trastuzumab Deruxtecan Is Effective in HER2-Low Breast Cancer." They're summing up their research in a title, not making an unsubstantiated claim.

- Apply your critical thinking - if a noted sketchy site says they love the source you're looking at, that says something, right?
