I am a teacher and researcher interested, basically, in how people learn about and perceive the world around them. I received my PhD at the University of Utah in the Cognitive Neuroscience area of the Psychology department. I spent 8 years involved in research studying the cognition and neural development in autism. I am an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) in the department of Psychology and a Higher Education Instructional Consultant for the Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence at the University of Utah. I also teach online courses as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Psychology department of the University of Maryland University College. In my free time I enjoy hiking, camping, traveling, and basically being outside with my dogs and family.
