Feedback and Changes (to Teach Flipped course)

Pilot #1:

Spring semester 2013.  We ran modules 0-8 in a 15 week semester.  Many faculty could not / did not stay with us this amount of time.  We think the problem was calendar length of time, not so much time in each module, but our assessment results are still incomplete.  Feedback was that the info was valuable, and they wanted to do it but couldn't commit the time.

Changes implemented after spring 2013:

1) Piloting a 1-week crash course in summer 2013

We plan to run:

Module 1v2 - old 0 intro (Stacy / Donna)

Module 3v2 - old 4,8 video/ technology (Cindy)

Module 4v2 - old 2-3  active learning / F2F(Stacy)

Module 5v2 - 5, 6, 7, 9 Course Design (Donna + all)

2) Combining modules to reduce repetition

Module 1v2 - old 0 intro (Stacy / Donna)

Module 2v2 - old 1 literature (donna)

Module 3v2 - old 4,8 video/ technology (Cindy)

Module 4v2 - old 2-3  active learning / F2F(Stacy)

Module 5v2 - 5, 6, 7, 9 Course Design (Donna + all)

3) Partly because of the combinations above, giving all modules an intro (green), intermediate (blue), advanced (black) set of content.
