Art Daily - making art as a daily practice.
Our daily lives are full of routines; brushing teeth, drinking coffee, driving to work or taking buss, etc... They make us productive, help us organize, simplify life or just make us comfortable. Repeating smaller task can help us accomplish seemingly large and unobtainable goals. It can help us to improve skill and become masters in difficult task. Making your art as daily practice will help you focus your ideas, improve skills and accomplish large work. In this project you will be working on a daily art project over the length of this semester.
Create daily creative/art custom you will perform ritually every day, that will not take any longer then about 5 -10 min, 5 times a week. Think about this as an process oriented art work that will have accumulative effect. The project and the process has to use and produce a 3D object in the outcome. Create a daily record of the project's growth with photographs, video or blog. At the end of the semester submit your entire daily project, the record and the outcome in a critique for the 5th project.
During the semester you will have to present progress of your daily art project. In the project review, you will show the record of the progress of your daily art project in the photo, video or blog form.
The complexity of the process and its final presentation.
Use of materials to transform the object into work of art.
Fabrication, connections and attention to detail.
Consideration of formal and conceptual elements in making your work.
Challenge of the artwork.
Presentation of the artwork during final critique.
