Tips for Starting Out with Your Portfolio

The basics:

• Don't name your portfolio "portfolio".  Consider something like "learning", "yourname", or something more creative
• Do use landing pages with links to individual accomplishment pages or documents instead of trying to cram everything onto one page
• Do look at other portfolios for inspiration
• Don't use other people's work without giving them credit
• Do try to find your own voice within your portfolio -- we want to see who you are and how that influences your learning
• Don't treat your portfolio like your Facebook page -- photos, videos, and updates that don't pertain to learning should remain on social media
